Kamal Amor Sekkat, coming from a very well-known family of of the city of Melilla (Spanish enclave in Morocco), was born on 29 April 1949 in Fez, Morocco. Kamal paints oil on panel and oil on canvas. Kamal studied fine arts and philosophy and he used to work with other painters especially in Melilla, Fez and Tanger
His life experience in various societies with its subtle moments of happiness and sometimes daily cares is a source of never-ending inspiration. More recently being impressed by multi-ethnic diversity of Amsterdam the maestro started to work on portraying personages of the city’s most characteristic neighbourhoods and who knows may be one day you could become one of them?
